Rare case of chondrosarcoma of maxilla

Abstract

Chondrosarcomas are considered to be one of the most aggressive tumors which are of high metastatic and recurrence potential. The basic method of treatment is surgical method. A very rare medical case of chondrosarcoma of the maxilla in 29 years old patient is reported. First stage of the treatment was surgical. special separative plate was performed for primary rehabilitation by the method of vacuum shaping and intraoperative modeling of the palate part of the plate and teeth as well with the use of autopolymer resin. Course of the postoperative beam 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy was performed. The course of the aduvant polychemotherapy is being performed. follow-up continues, patient is alive during 5 months.
