The outcome of soft tissue sarcoma (STS) surgery depends on many different factors, including the quality of surgical treatment. Adequate surgical treatment provides stable control of the disease. Local recurrence is a key factor in evaluating the quality of performed surgical treatment. The article reviews main predictor factors, based on the results of numerous studies, which allow to perform reliable evaluation of tumor expansion and criteria of surgical treatment quality in STS. The article gives comprehensive description of signs and symptoms of main postoperative complications. Attention is paid to typical mistakes, leading to considerable increase of local recurrence and associated survival decrease; preventive measures are emphasized

Результаты лечения СМТ зависят многих факторов, в том числе и от качества хирургического вмешательства. Грамотное хирургическое лечение позволяет добиться стойкого контроля над заболеванием. Ключевым фактором в оценке качества проведенного хирургического вмешательства является местное рецидивирование опухоли. В статье приводятся прогностические факторы, основанные на результатах многочисленных исследований, позволяющие с высокой степенью достоверности определить распространенность процесса, а также критерии качества хирургического вмешательства при лечении СМТ, подробно описаны варианты и признаки возникновения послеоперационных осложнений. Также в статье обращено внимание на типичные ошибки, приводящие к резкому повышению частоты местных рецидивов и снижению выживаемости, методы их профилактики
