There is a marked variability in drug handling between individual patients and this variability is based on genotyping individual patients. In this review we focus on genetic characteristics of xenobiotic-metabolizing enzymes. We also discuss the most valuable genetic predictive factors that relate to the toxic effects experienced by cancer patients treated with anticancer chemotherapy and the future prospects in this field of investigation.</p>
В обзоре описываются основные ферменты, метаболизирующие ксенобиотики, а также их значение для предсказания токсичности современных химиопрепаратов и перспективы дальнейших исследований.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>genotyping</kwd><kwd>predictive factor</kwd><kwd>chemotherapy</kwd><kwd>toxicity</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>генотипирование</kwd><kwd>предсказывающие факторы</kwd><kwd>химиотерапия</kwd><kwd>токсичность</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Bosnia P.J., Chowdhury J.R., Bakker С. et al.
