Radical resection of damaged bone region in patients with immature bone skeleton leads to shortening of the treated limb. Expanding endoprosthesis is the optimal choice in the solution of this problem. The historical excursion of evolution of expanding endoprosthesis creation is presented.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Эндопротезирование является основным методом выбора лечения опухолей костей у детей. радикальное удаление пораженного отдела кости у пациентов с незрелым костным скелетом приводит к укорочению оперируемой конечности.
