There are other conservative treatment options that include intermittent pneumatic compression. Its mechanism of action is based on pressure applying on the underlying tissues and promoting the lymph flow through the lymphatic structures. Pneumatic compression was invented in 1972; nevertheless it has not found widespread support of professional community as a self-sufficient method of conservative lymphedema treatment, though it’s used a lot in many rehab clinics worldwide.</p><p>Aim. To determine the indications and effectiveness of pneumatic compression, as well as to identify the possibility of using this method in the practice of treating lymphatic edema.</p>
Несмотря на продолжительный период существования, по некоторым данным – с 1972 г., пневматическая компрессия не нашла поддержки со стороны профессионального сообщества как самостоятельный метод консервативного лечения лимфедемы, хотя она довольно широко применяется в различных реабилитационных центрах.</p><p>Цель исследования – определить показания и эффективность пневматической компрессии, а также обозначить возможность использования данного метода в практике лечения лимфатических отеков.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>intermittent pneumatic compression</kwd><kwd>lymphostasis</kwd><kwd>lymphedema</kwd><kwd>lymphatic edema</kwd><kwd>complex decongestive therapy</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>пневматическая компрессия</kwd><kwd>лимфостаз</kwd><kwd>лимфедема</kwd><kwd>лимфатический отек</kwd><kwd>комплексная противоотечная терапия</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Ivashkov V.Yu., Denisenko A.S., Ushakov A.A.
